Instructor led sprints
You can attend any of the sprints (5 daily 2-hour online sessions). These sprints review all the CCSK body of knowledge domains, including test questions. You will be able to prepare for these sessions in advance. Recordings will be available. You will also interact with the instructor and your fellow participants. Between the sprints, you can attend focus sessions. These focus each on a specific section, and have case studies and Q&A.
|Every sprint has the following sessions (live and recorded)||Session duration|
|Session 1: Introduction to cloud computing
Essential characteristics, service models, deployment models
|Session 2: Infrastructure Security for Cloud Computing
Securing base infrastructure, management plane, virtual hosts and networks, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS security, containers
|Session 3: Risk and Governance
Legal and compliance, audit, data governance, risk management, CCM
|Session 4: Data and application security
Cloud data architectures, data security and encryption, CASB, identity and access management, Security as a Service, DevOps
|Session 5: Cloud Security Operations, Exam preparation
Monitoring, incident response, interoperability, IOT, big data and mobile
Each session has presentations, quizzes to test your knowledge, Q&As and suggestions for study, practical exercises and application to your current job. The sessions are covered over a period of one or two weeks.
On top of the live sessions, there is a membership site featuring a private support group with your instructor, a group channel, and additional practical resources. There is also an option for practical lab work by building a secure application on Amazon Web Services.
If you attend all sessions, and do a little preparation in between, you should be able to pass the on-line CCSK exam immediately after the last session.
About your trainer Peter van Eijk
Peter is one of the world’s most experienced independent cloud trainers.
Daniele Catteddu, CTO, Cloud Security Alliance:
“Peter is a very experienced cloud trainer and we have enthusiastic feedback from his CCSK students.”
Shanthi Vijay, Information Technology Agency, government of Oman. “I have attended several of Peter’s courses. They are always very good with practical knowledge on cloud computing, and this is helping us very much in our development of the Oman government cloud services.”
IT architect, London City, Canary Wharf: “Peter clearly has a great deal of specific industry experience and draws on this to provide real-world examples. Always happy to divert the conversation out of the course where relevant and interesting within the cloud computing context. I think this was particularly useful and observed this providing value to the entire group.”
Security operations manager: “The course provides a fantastic overview of Cloud and was an eye opener to me. The benefits of cloud were made clear, but so too were the limitations and considerations of the service. I would recommend this course to everyone involved in Cloud from hands on IT to Executive. This was one of the most informative courses I have attended.”
